Arsenal have revealed that they are firmly interested in Antonio Nusa, the Leipzig attacking winger, and that they have already started negotiations which could materialize as early as January. The London club has identified Nusa as a concrete reinforcement for the advanced flank and seems convinced of being able to bring him to London, although the negotiation is still under construction.
Leipzig, however, shows no willingness to lower their asking price. The German club has set the player's valuation at 70 million euros, a figure that represents the main obstacle for the Gunners. In previous weeks, Arsenal had expressed interest in Nusa but had indicated a maximum limit of €55 million, thus leaving a large gap between supply and demand. Despite this, the London authorities speak of a growing deal and could increase their proposal to get closer to the figure requested by Leipzig.
The market context is favorable for Arsenal, who recently sold Yan Diomande to Real Madrid for 140 million euros. In this climate of high-level transfers, interest in Nusa has increased significantly. The Norwegian winger has already attracted the attention of other top-level teams, including Roma, who had followed his profile during the previous summer as a possible offensive reinforcement. However, contacts did not lead to a final agreement and the deal did not materialize.
The London club, although it has not yet presented an official offer, seems determined to start negotiations with the aim of bringing Nusa to London. The difference of 15 million euros between Leipzig's request and Arsenal's initial proposal is significant, but Mikel Arteta's team is ready to evaluate an increase in its offer to close the deal. If the deal comes to fruition, Nusa could become one of the new stars of Arsenal's attacking department, helping to strengthen the team ahead of the next competitions.
