Venezia is preparing for its first league match of this season, a crucial match against Allegri's Napoli. With the match scheduled for 3pm at the Penzo stadium, coach Davide Nicola has decided to kick off his new project by inserting two former players of the club into the squad: JuanJesus and PasqualeMazzocchi. Both arrived in the last phase of the transfer market, with the Brazilian signing only after the deadline, but their presence has already been perceived as a renewal of spirit and defensive structure.
JuanJesus, although the latest arrival, has quickly proven to be a reference figure for the team. His experience and leadership ability filled the void left by the absence of Busio and Haps, who were injured. The first time he was a starter, against Lazio, he took on the role of captain, confirming the trust the club has in him. The coach underlined that, even if Haps could return to the field from the first minute, Jesus' presence remains fundamental for the stability and security of the defensive department.
PasqualeMazzocchi, however, has returned to a club that has always welcomed him with great affection. After some small injuries that held him back, the midfielder is ready to contribute with his experience and knowledge of Serie A. During the presentation press conference, Nicola highlighted that the choice of Mazzocchi was also motivated by his bond with Venice and the desire to be part of an ambitious project. The player expressed his satisfaction with his return, stating that he felt comfortable in the environment and that he wanted to give his best for the team.
Venezia, which is in a restructuring phase, is counting on these two former players to give new impetus to the group, especially considering the young composition of the squad under the guidance of Nicola. The presence of players with experience and knowledge of the club is seen as a key element to consolidate the team and manage the challenges that the championship will bring. With the match against Napoli imminent, fans will be able to see if the combination of JuanJesus and PasqualeMazzocchi can provide the push needed to start the season on the right foot.
