Edoardo Motta, Roma's young goalkeeper, has seen his market value rise to €8 million by 2026. The goalkeeper, who began his career with Reggiana, was bought by Lazio after previous goalkeeper Mandas moved to England. He was initially destined to be second in the team, alongside Provedel, but circumstances pushed him to become third in line, with only the chance to play on a few occasions.
During the 2025‑26 season Motta was a protagonist in the Italian Cup, where he neutralized the shots of some of the best attackers in the league, including Gianluca Scamacca, Davide Zappacosta, Mario Pašalić and Charles De Ketelaere. His performance helped take Lazio to the final, where however they were defeated by Inter. Despite the defeat, his reputation on the pitch grew significantly.
Motta's market value has increased by over 6.8 million compared to his price when he was still playing in Serie B. This increase reflects the management's confidence and his evolution as a top-level goalkeeper. With the ongoing season, Lazio continues to monitor his growth, while Motta prepares to consolidate his role in the team and fight for the title.
