Genoa defender KingsleyEhizibue said he was very satisfied with his first goal for the team, which came in the match against Juventus. The performance, which ended in a victory, was described as the result of very intense team work and a strong connection between the players. “I'm very happy for my first goal against Genoa, but I think we played a good game today,” said Ehizibue during the press conference held immediately after the match.
In his speech the attacker underlined the importance of the work done in training. “A good connection is being created between us and we immediately made Juventus' job difficult,” he explained, highlighting how the team was able to undermine the opponent in the lanes and force the rival defense to play more rigidly. The goal was the result of a series of passes, in which Ehizibue asked for the ball three times before finding the target. "On the fourth time I received the ball. We have to attack together and defend together," he added, referring to the teamwork that allowed the far post to be closed.
Ehizibue also spoke about the change that has occurred in the team in just a few weeks. “If we stay united as a team we can put any team in trouble,” he said. He expressed gratitude for the coach and the team, underlining that they are now "reaping" the results they had sown in the first matches. The athlete also reiterated his determination to give his best for Genoa, recalling that he always said to give 100% when he arrived at the club.
Regarding the dedication of the goal, Ehizibue said that he doesn't usually make dedications, but he decided to dedicate the result to God, expressing gratitude for being present on the pitch and for the chance to demonstrate his worth. “I am grateful for what is happening to me as a footballer,” he concluded, highlighting his happiness at being part of the team.
The press conference concluded with the analysis of the result and future prospects of Genoa. The club, which has just beaten Juventus, seems to have found the right harmony between defense and attack, and Ehizibue is ready to continue contributing with goals and quality defensive performances. Genoa's next match promises to be crucial to consolidate their position in the league table and to maintain high motivation in view of the next challenges.
