Napoli will have to deal with a brief absence of two key defensive figures, French midfielder Benoit Badiashile and winger Leonardo Spinazzola. Badiashile was excluded from the match early due to a rectus femoris injury, while Spinazzola, who only came on the pitch for a quarter of an hour, suffered a muscle problem immediately after leaving.
As for Badiashile, the injury is medium grade and usually requires a recovery period of between a month and a month and a half. As a result, the club can expect the defender to return to the field only in 2027, with the possibility of missing up to 12 matches, nine Serie A and three Champions League, before the end of the calendar year. Napoli, while hoping to have the player back before the new year arrives, will have to plan their defense without him for a prolonged period.
Spinazzola, however, suffered a low-grade muscle injury. The medical staff expects the midfield to return to the field next week, after the championship matches against Monza (midweek) and Juventus (next Sunday). Spinazzola's absence will therefore be limited to a couple of matches, while Badiashile will remain out for a much longer period of time.
