Stevan Jovetic spoke about his time in Italy in a long interview with LaGazzetta dello Sport, highlighting the difficulties he experienced at Inter. According to the Serbian defender, the season was characterized by "a big mess": Inter had three presidents and changed five coaches in two years. “With Mancini I had a good first year, but in the second I found myself out of the squad for no reason,” he said. “Pioli never gave me an explanation and I don't even consider DeBoer.”
Jovetic then spoke about an episode with coach Spalletti, who invited him to "have patience". “I didn't have any, I wanted to play,” he explained. The player also recalled moments of tension with teammates, including an argument with Guarin after a match against Lazio and another with Icardi during training. “There have been discussions, but things like this happen,” he added.
In closing the interview, Jovetic expressed one regret for his career: "I should have said yes to Real after my second year in Florence. I wanted to continue playing and I thought I would get there later. Ten days later, I broke my cruciate." The defender, who alternated between Fiorentina and Inter, then shared his reflections on the management chaos and the difficulties of adaptation in Serie A.
