Genoa has announced the entry of two new managers, François Modesto as Chief of Football and StefanoMelissano as Sporting Director, following the departure of DiegoLopez. The official press release, published on the club's website, confirms that Modesto will be responsible for the strategic management and technical orientation of the entire club, while Melissano will take care of the sporting direction of the first team, collaborating with the technical structure for the selection and management of resources and for market operations.
François Modesto brings with him solid management experience at both a national and international level. According to the club, his expertise will be fundamental to lead the technical area and to consolidate Genoa's development strategy. “The club relies on Modesto for strategic management and technical guidance”, we read in the press release, highlighting the importance of his figure in the new corporate organisation.
StefanoMelissano, however, will take over the sporting direction of the home team. Genoa underlined that its task will be to support the technical structure in the selection of players, in the management of resources and in transfer market operations, in line with the path of growth and enhancement of the squad. “Melissano supports the technical structure in the selection and management of resources and in transfer market operations”, we read, indicating continuity with the objectives already outlined by the club.
The club closed the statement by wishing Modesto and Melissano "the best of luck in their respective roles within the Club", thus confirming Genoa's commitment to strengthening its management structure.
