Ibrahimovic has never been a Milan manager: nothing new, he remains a Cardinale's man
Milan fans are wondering not only about the role of Ruben Amorim, the team and Gerry Cardinale, but also about the actions of Zlatan Ibrahimovic. According to Sky Sports, there is no news regarding the Swede: he continues to hold the position of director of RedBird and remains a collaborator of the owner of the fund. The former striker has never been a Rossoneri manager and, therefore, is only involved in the club indirectly.
In recent months his presence at Milanello has been minimal, if not absent. This caused some stir, especially because in the summer the market and the choices seemed to be influenced by him too. The opinions and advice of the "class of '81" are precious and are held in high regard by Cardinale, but Ibrahimovic's bond with Milan is not as evident and tangible as in the past.
Despite his position as director of RedBird, Ibrahimovic has not played an active role in the management of Milan and is not involved in the club's day-to-day decisions. Its influence therefore remains limited to the highest level of the ownership group, without directly interfering with the club's sporting operations.
With this information, fans can understand that the current situation does not foresee significant changes for Ibrahimovic and that his role remains that of collaborator of the owner of the fund, without any direct impact on Milan.
