Milan's victory against Udine allowed the club to face the most challenging week of the season with greater serenity. After the European disappointment, the response on the pitch especially satisfied president Gerry Cardinale, who reiterated his trust in Ruben Amorim. Cardinale praised the team for its resilience, the intensity maintained throughout the match, the ball possession and the aggressiveness in recovering the ball. He also appreciated Amorim's management of rotations and substitutions.
Cardinale will remain in Milan to accompany the team in the two consecutive matches at the San Siro: tomorrow at 6.30 pm against Bologna and Saturday 31 October at 8.45 pm in the derby against Inter. With the victory, the Rossoneri are still unbeaten in Serie A, a result which strengthens their position in the standings. The president underlined the importance of maintaining concentration and motivation for the next meetings, highlighting the need to continue improving.
At the same time, Cardinale accelerates the work for the hiring of Markus Krosche, candidate for the position of Head of Football of Milan. According to Corriere dello Sport, the economic agreement with the manager has already been reached, while the skills and roles within the new structure remain to be defined. It is also necessary to find an agreement with Eintracht Frankfurt to release Krosche before the 2028 deadline, with a severance package estimated at around 5 million euros. The objective is to appoint Krosche by the end of the year, thus guaranteeing Amorim authoritative management support.
On Thursday, at 4.30 pm, in the Sala Viscontea of the Sforzesco Castle, the project for the new stadium in Milan will be officially presented, which envisages a capacity of approximately 71,500 seats, of which 13,000 premium. The project was entrusted to the Foster + Partners and Manica studios and involves construction in the area currently occupied by the San Siro car parks. Construction is expected to begin in the second half of 2027, with the aim of completing the work in time for Euro 2032. The new stadium will be a point of reference for the city and a symbol of the aspiration of Milan and Inter at a European level.
