Anthony Oyono, a French right back of Gabonese origin, has just renewed his contract with Frosinone, confirming his position as one of the most important figures of the club. The player, born in Lille on 12 April 2001, spent most of his career in Italy, where he became a point of reference in the yellow-blue defence.
Oyono grew up in the youth sector of Boulogne, first team since 2020, with whom he played 31 matches in the Championnat National without scoring. On 30 January 2022 he moved to Frosinone, where he quickly consolidated his role as right-back. He contributed to promotion to Serie A in the 2022-23 season and played 16 matches in the top flight in 2023-24. After relegation, he returned to Serie B, where he amassed over 60 appearances over the next two seasons, scoring two goals. With the Frosinone shirt he has exceeded 100 appearances and, according to forecasts, he will be back in Serie A in the 2026-27 season.
Oyono's renewal comes at a time when the club continues its renewal campaign, with the aim of consolidating the team for next season. The agreement, definitively signed, ensures the player's presence for the next few years, strengthening the defense and guaranteeing continuity to the department.
Anthony also has a particular story on a personal level: he is the twin of Jérémy Oyono, also a right back. The two shared careers at Frosinone for a couple of seasons, from 2024, before Jérémy decided to test himself at Spezia. While growing up together, the twins often stressed the importance of mutual support, with Jérémy stating in an interview that without his brother he would not have reached the level he is today.
With the renewal of Oyono, Frosinone aims to maintain a solid defensive base and exploit the player's experience to lead the team towards new goals. The club, led by coach Alvini, is now preparing to focus its energy on next season, with the hope of consolidating its position in Serie A and continuing to build a competitive and cohesive team.
