ASSE plans to strengthen its squad with a view to a possible move up to Ligue1, but the club does not yet consider right back DemboSylla as an immediate priority. The 23-year-old Breton defender is currently playing at FCLorient, where his contract is valid until June 2028 and his value is estimated at 1.5 million euros according to Transfermarkt. Although he is among the profiles mentioned to support ASSE in the event of a return to the first division, no concrete negotiations have yet been announced.
FCLorient, for its part, has clearly defined its objectives for the season. According to Antoine Gegat, journalist from Télégramme, the Merlus first want to focus on several contract extensions. After signing LeBris, the club is considering extending the deals of YvonMvogo, MontassarTalbi, ArthurAvomEbong and Jean-VictorMakengo. These four issues should dominate discussions within the Breton leadership in the coming weeks, with a first international break planned for mid-November.
In this context, the prospect of signing DemboSylla could remain secondary for Lorient, which prefers first to stabilize its core of players. Nevertheless, ASSE keeps a close eye on the full-back, whose value and technical quality could prove interesting if the club manages to reach the first division. The Greens' priority, however, remains qualification for Ligue1, which could influence the decision whether or not to engage in a possible transfer operation.
At present, no official offer has been submitted and Sylla's contractual situation remains unchanged. If ASSE confirms its rise at the end of the season, the defender could then become an option seriously considered by the Saint-Etienne management. Future developments will therefore depend on the negotiations underway at FCLorient and the progression of ASSE towards the first division.
