HernánCrespo expressed his opinion on the Italian championship, focusing in particular on Lazio, who currently occupies first position in the table. The former Argentine striker declared that RinoGattuso's team is "well-deserved" and that the club deserves to aim for the title, underlining the special chemistry that has been created within the group.
In his speech, Crespo highlighted how Milan and Rome, two of the most important cities in Italy, dominate national football, but expressed surprise at Lazio's top position. “I didn't expect my friend Gattuso's Lazio to be up there at the top,” he said, referring to the manager's management and his ability to motivate the players. The former striker also underlined that Gattuso knows how to win and that the team has developed a strong psychological aspect, essential to achieve high-level results.
According to Crespo, Lazio have shown that they have a "special chemistry" and that they are ready for the scudetto. "And why couldn't he? A special chemistry has been created in the group, and I'm sure that all this is thanks to Rino," he said. The former player praised Gattuso's ability to work on his players' brains, to convince them to do certain things and to stimulate them. “When you have a man like that leading you, you go out of your way to please him,” he added, highlighting the team's determination.
Crespo also commented on Lazio's situation in terms of results, referring to the eight wins and the draw that took the team to the top. He suggested that those who criticized the team for his experience in the national team should reconsider their position and apologise. “Okay, but we know that football is a strange world,” he concluded, leaving open the prospect of a still intense season for Lazio.
With the current ranking, Lazio is in a favorable position for title aspirations, while Milan and Rome continue to fight for second place. The entire SerieA remains in turmoil, with teams looking to consolidate their position as the end of the season approaches. Lazio, led by Gattuso, will have to maintain their form and motivation to transform the surprise into a concrete success.
