Juventus ended the match against Napoli with a 2–1 victory, thanks to a goal from Kerim Alajbegovic and a goal from Jeremie Boga. Although the team managed to maintain the momentum of the match until the seventieth minute, the real hero of the evening was goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario, who saved the result on two decisive occasions. After just eight minutes, with a header from Lucca, and then in the second half, with an exit outside the penalty area against Politano, the young goalkeeper proved to be a fundamental element for the Juventus defense.
Vicario arrived in Turin on a free loan with the right to buy scheduled for August next year. His choice was not the first option of the Juventus management during the last summer transfer market. In reality, Juventus was planning to buy top-level goalkeepers such as Alisson Becker, Giorgi Mamardashvili, Dibu Martinez, David De Gea, Alexander Nübel and Zion Suzuki. However, none of these negotiations materialized, and the management ended up opting for Vicario, a young Italian goalkeeper who showed great potential.
According to analyses, the purchase of Vicario was Juventus' most successful move in the summer. The club was able to evaluate the goalkeeper on the pitch and, with a buyout fee of eight million euros, was able to guarantee a long-term future for the young defender. If his performances continue to be of a high level, Juventus will not be able to afford not to sign him on a permanent basis.
The young goalkeeper, born in 2007, still has time to establish himself with the black and white shirt. At the moment, Juventus needs a reliable and talented goalkeeper for the current season, and Vicario seems to be the right choice for the club. With his ability to save shots and his ability to handle pressure, the Italian goalkeeper has proven to be a fundamental element for the Juventus defense.
In summary, the victory against Napoli was an important result for Juventus, but the real hero of the evening was Guglielmo Vicario. The Italian goalkeeper has proven to be a fundamental element for the Juventus defense and has shown that he has the potential to become a top-level player. Juventus has shown that they made the right choice by purchasing Vicario, and the club can count on him for the future.
