The president of Getafe, Ángel Torres, announced before the match against Barcelona that LaLiga's economic control has already approved the signing of former Real Madrid player Dani Carvajal, and that the only remaining condition is the player's approval. “The signing is pending some issues, if Carvajal says okay, okay,” he said in an interview with DAZN, emphasizing that the process is practically concluded.
The movement of Carvajal, 34 years old and a free agent, has recently been supported by the LaLiga Valuation Committee, which confirmed that the club can make the contract official at a salary of 400,000 euros per month. This decision eliminates the administrative barrier that had generated uncertainty in recent days, when the player's environment showed certain pessimism regarding his possible transfer to Getafe.
The president of the club, during an interview on COPE, pointed out that “LaLiga's control is already overcome” and that the signing anticipates the player expressing his willingness to continue with the azulón team. The expectation is that Carvajal will join the team and be available for the entire season, which would represent an important reinforcement for Getafe's defense in the next phase of the competition.
With the approval of LaLiga, Getafe now only has to wait for confirmation from the Spanish football association and the opening of the registration portal for the signing to become official. If Carvajal accepts the proposal, the club will be able to add a player with experience in the Champions League and in Real Madrid's defense to its squad, which could significantly improve the team's competitiveness in the league and in the Copa del Rey.
In summary, Getafe is one step away from closing the signing of Dani Carvajal, with the only pending condition being the player's own decision. Once the former Madrid player confirms his intention to “palante, palante”, the signing will become official and the club will be able to count on his presence in the next matches.
