Tottenham's Extremaduran full-back, Pedro Porro, has once again put the possibility of a return to the Spanish League in the spotlight. At 27 years old and with a contract that binds him to the London club until June 2031, the player has declared that “I would love to return to Spain” and that he would feel capable of adapting to any of the country's two great teams, Real Madrid or FC Barcelona.
Porro, who recently renewed his deal with Tottenham, has expressed his desire to return to his homeland on several occasions. In Manu Carreño's program, the footballer explained that, although he feels grateful for the opportunity that the Premier League has given him, "it would be very unfair to talk about it out of respect for my club, because I have a contract with them." Even so, he added that "I have always said that I would love to return to Spain, I would be very excited."
When asked by journalists if he felt more inclined towards the style of play of Real Madrid or Barcelona, Porro responded that there was no clear preference. "I consider myself a player who can adapt to everything. I have adapted to the Premier, which is not easy at all... Adapting, I can adapt to everything," he stated. The full-back highlighted that his experience in the Premier has taught him to adjust to different systems and tactical demands.
Despite Porro's obvious openness, the player has indicated that neither Real Madrid nor Barcelona have shown specific interest in signing him. "There is interest, they ask about your situation, but no one has told me that they love me, it is not a real interest. Besides, I didn't want to listen," he commented. This statement suggests that, although rumor talks may be underway, no formal proposal from the two clubs has yet been finalised.
Currently, the full-back continues to play for Tottenham, where he has proven to be a key player in the defense. His contract, which extends until 2031, gives the club's leaders the possibility of negotiating an exit in the coming years, as long as an offer arises that meets their expectations and the needs of the team. For the moment, Porro continues to concentrate on his tasks on the field, maintaining the possibility of a future return to the Spanish League as an open option but without specific commitments.
