The ninth day of the SerieA championship promises to be with a considerable number of absences. The teams most affected are Atalanta, Juventus and Inter, who suffered 9, 10 and 5 unavailability respectively, while no player was suspended for this week's match. The complete list of absences was published by the TMW editorial staff and includes injuries, suspensions and availability doubts.
Atalanta, playing against Bologna, has to deal with the loss of seven key players: Sulemana, Hien, Kossounou, Raspadori, Kessié, Scalvini and Pompei, as well as Kolasinac and Bellanova who remain in doubt. Bologna, however, is without Orsolini, Piccoli and Holm, while Cagliari has to deal with Idrissi, Felici and Winks. Como, Fiorentina, Frosinone and Genoa also suffered absences, although none of these teams suffered suspensions.
For Inter, the list of unavailability is equally long: Lautaro, Stones, Jones, Pavard and Luis Henrique are all out for different reasons. Juventus, who face Roma, have lost Ekhator, Gonzalez, Grabara, Yildiz, Locatelli, Milik, Conceicao, Thuram and Celik, while Lazio are without Gudmundsson, Marusic and Rovella. Milan, Monza, Napoli, Parma, Roma, Sassuolo, Torino, Udinese and Venezia have also suffered absences, but none of these teams have suffered suspensions for the current matchday.
Despite the numerous absences, SerieA will continue without interruptions. The teams concerned will have to resort to reserve players or new arrivals to fill the empty places. Next week, the official lineups will be published shortly before the start of the matches, allowing fans to check whether availability doubts are resolved or if further absences are added. With the season still ongoing, teams will need to adapt quickly to maintain competitiveness at this crucial stage of the championship.
