Davide Frattesi, the midfielder who guided Lazio to the top of Serie A, now finds himself facing a match that reveals an even deeper past with the Turin team. During the summer, Juventus had shown keen interest in the player, but Frattesi decided to remain faithful to the "home" in which he developed his career. His return to Lazio allowed him to take on roles of greater responsibility within the group, becoming one of the coach's point men.
The summer transfer window saw Inter, where Frattesi played for two seasons, sell the midfielder to the Roman club, while Juventus had already started negotiations for his transfer. Despite the Juventus offer, the player chose to continue his career with Lazio, confirming his preference for the environment in which he gained his first professional experiences. Now, with the Roma team in a prominent position in the league table, the match against Juventus represents an opportunity to demonstrate the value of his return.
Frattesi has already had a significant meeting with Juventus, when, wearing the Sassuolo shirt, he scored the decisive goal in a 2‑1 win in Turin in October 2021. This moment was defined by him as one of the most emotional of his career. Now, with the Lazio shirt, the midfielder intends to repeat the same feat, trying to leave a mark also against the club that had tempted him in the past.
The match against Juventus promises to be particularly crucial for the top areas of the table, where Lazio seeks to consolidate its position as champions. Frattesi, with his experience and his vision of the game, will be decisive in managing the midfield and creating opportunities for the team. His return to Roma, after the proposal from Juventus, underlines the importance of the emotional and professional bond he has with the Roman club.
With the aim of maintaining leadership in the standings, Lazio will face Juventus with a team ready to take advantage of Frattesi's experience. The midfielder, who has already proven to be a point of reference for the team, will have to face the challenge of countering the Turin defense and contributing to Lazio's success in the final stages of the season. The match promises to be decisive for the title race and for confirming the solidity of the Roman midfield.
