Lazio has found its "not" center forward: Tijjani Noslin, who has now established himself as a key element of the club's attacking department. The Dutchman, who arrived in the capital for over 15 million euros in the summer of 2024, has transformed his tactical figure, going from an uncertain role player to a protagonist on the pitch.
In 2023-24 Noslin had a limited role, with only 22 minutes spread across the Italian Cup and Serie A. He was still considered an alternative, with his presence on the pitch only on special occasions, such as coming on in place of Cancellieri against Mantova or using Dia against Bologna. His situation changed dramatically in September, when Pinamonti's ankle problem opened the door for the youngster. In that match against Milan, Noslin started with a dominant move, contributing to the goal that gave Lazio a 2‑0 lead. Since then he has never been left on the bench, recording four goals and two assists in six games as a starter.
His playing style is in line with Gennaro Gattuso's philosophy: an atypical center forward who constantly moves along the entire offensive front, creating spaces for the midfielders and wingers. The brace against Sassuolo, with two goals from outside the area, is an example of how Noslin can influence the game with both his head and his foot. His presence was also fundamental in the victory against Genoa, where he played 90 minutes on the bench before the revolution in attack.
With the next match against Cagliari, Noslin is expected to start the seventh consecutive match. Pinamonti, still recovering from the flu, is not 100%, which strengthens Noslin's position as the main choice for Gattuso. His evolution has been welcomed positively by the management, who see him as a versatile player ready to contribute both in the construction and finalization phases.
As the season progresses, Lazio aims to consolidate its attacking structure around Noslin, taking advantage of his ability to create opportunities and diversify the attack. The club is preparing to make the most of its qualities in the next matches, with the aim of maintaining competitiveness in Serie A and European competitions.
